Who We Are

Guildite is a digital commerce platform operated by GuildIte Ltd, a subsidiary of Frizux Ltd, incorporated in Ghana. When this Privacy Policy refers to “Guildite”, “we”, “us” or “our”, it refers to GuildIte Ltd.

Guildite is the data controller for personal information collected through the Guildite platform. This means we are responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed.

Transaction and Platform Data

When you buy or sell on Guildite, transaction data is generated. This includes the category of product sold, the price, the timing of the transaction, the delivery area, and the outcome. This data, in aggregate, forms Guildite’s market intelligence layer.

Ownership of Transaction Data

As stated in Guildite’s Terms of Service, aggregated and anonymised transaction data is owned by GuildIte Ltd and forms part of Guildite’s core intellectual property. This data is used to power the market analytics features that sellers use to price and position their products competitively.

How It Is Used
Anonymisation: When transaction data is used for market analytics or shared with third parties for research or financial services purposes, it is aggregated and anonymised so that individual sellers and buyers cannot be identified. Guildite never shares your individual transaction history with third parties without your explicit consent.

How We Share Your Information

Guildite does not sell your personal information. We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:

All service providers are contractually required to process your data only as instructed by Guildite and to maintain appropriate security standards.

For Legal Compliance

We may disclose your information to law enforcement, regulatory authorities or courts where required by applicable law.

With Your Consent

We will share your information with third parties in any other circumstances only with your explicit consent.

Section 06

Data Storage and Security

Guildite implements technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction or alteration.

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, Guildite will notify affected users and the relevant regulatory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where required by applicable law.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password or escrow codes with anyone. Guildite will never ask for your password.

Guildite uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the platform and improve your experience.

Request deletion of your personal information where there is no legitimate reason for us to continue processing it.

Request that we restrict processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Right to Data Portability

Receive your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible.

Right to Object

Object to processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes at any time.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

Right to Complain

Lodge a complaint with the relevant Data Protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

Limitations on Erasure: The right to erasure does not apply to transaction data that forms part of Guildite’s aggregated market intelligence, data we are required to retain by law, or data necessary to resolve outstanding disputes or legal claims.

Children’s Privacy

Guildite is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to Guildite without your consent, contact us immediately at [email protected].

Third Party Links

Guildite may contain links to third-party websites, apps or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through Guildite.

Changes to This Policy

Guildite may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email and through an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Guildite after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
